Creativity Shell Launches Holiday Camp for Rochester Kids – Dec 27 – 29th!

If you are looking for a creative way to start the new year (and purchase a fantastic Christmas Gift for your child at the same time), the Creativity Shell Rochester is ending 2017 off by hosting a 3-day Holiday Camp for kids from December 26 – 29!

The Creativity Shell Rochester is a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to use creative trades to educate and inspire the next generation of makers. Our organization teaches sewing/textile arts and other trades classes to students in public libraries, schools and shelters that rescue children from homelessness and human trafficking. Sewing/textile arts classes are designed to educate and inspire children by teaching them essential life and practical skills.

Students in the holiday camp will learn to make their own skirts, shorts and/or shirts.  Students will also learn to make cool accessories such as bags, headbands and if we have enough time…hats! Aside from the tangible items students will make, the Creativity Shell Holiday Camp is also designed to build self-confidence, patience, coping, problem solving and perseverance skills.

Classes will be held from 10AM – 3PM daily at the Creativity Shell Rochester located at 1984 Monroe Avenue (across the street from 12 Corners Middle School).  This camp is great for students ages 7+ and beginners are welcome!

This camp will be limited to 10 students and we are hoping the kids will finish off the year by making some great memories!
