Creativity Shell partners with Project Linus to sew blankets!

Project Linus is a fantastic organization that makes blankets to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. The Creativity Shell has partnered with Project Linus to help sew blankets. The blankets will be handmade by children enrolled in our free sewing/textile arts classes in Houston and will be donated to needy children nationwide.

The first batch of blankets will be made during the week of May 16 – 20, 2016 by students at the Kingwood Library, Arrow Ministries/Freedom Place, Garden Oaks Elementary School and Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy.

“This will be an excellent project to allow our students to utilize their creativity and help other children in need,” said Creative Director Shelancia Daniel. The team at Project Linus are equally as excited to see kids giving back to other kids.
