STEM/STEAM Sewing Workshop
The Creativity Shell is blending STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) skills with the sewing/textile arts program by teaching students to hand/machine sew with Electricity Conductive Threads (ECT). Students in these classes learn to use ECT to add electrical elements to their garments such as LED lights.
Students in this workshop will learn to build circuits using ECT and attach it to a battery pack to power up different items. Students will begin this workshop using snap circuits to build circuit boards before moving on to the sewing process.
Materials and accessories are all included in the registration fee.
